Dr. Nosti has had much experience in the correction of different breast deformities. Breast conditions including asymmetries [when the breasts have an uneven contour] and in the so-called Snoopy dog breast or medically known as tuberous breasts. The correction of these types of deformities is by utilizing breast implants of different contour or volume and or a combination of implants with a breast reduction or breast lift (mastopexy). Sometimes breast expansion is necessary to stretch the soft tissues of the breast to obtain better symmetry.
Dr. Nosti has notable experience in treating secondary deformities like encapsulation, augmented breasts that are pendulous or droopy due to aging or because of undue stretching of the breasts through pregnancy or weight gain. These deformities pose a challenge that could be addressed again through a combined approach by a breast capsulectomy, (removal of the capsule formed around the implant made by the body), new implants or lifting. In our office, we have treated many cases where implants may be ruptured and patients need to be evaluated for signs of implant leakage or implant rippling. In these cases capsulectomies and replacement of implants are done to treat these medical issues.
Breast surgery and especially breast augmentation requires not only surgical ability but also esthetic sense. The surgeon must tailor the breast surgery to the particular needs of the patient, body contour and the patient's concept of asthetic harmony. Dr. Nosti has built his practice on this concept.
